ISOCOM Develop New Radiation Hard LEDs for Accelerator Tunnels at CERN

We have successfully secured a contract to assist in the development of new radiation resistant LED lighting which is suitable for accelerator tunnels and nuclear power stations. These lights are designed to replace traditional fluorescent lamps with magnetic ballast and withstand high levels of radiation.

The AC/DC power design and current control has proved successful. CERN has confirmed that these LEDs meet their radiation requirements. We have produced the first 1,000 units of LED lights which will be used in CERN’s particle accelerator tunnels.
