We are a leading manufacturer of high-performance integrated circuit optocouplers that provide isolation to high-voltage power systems in radiation hard environments encountered by space, satellite, high-performance and high-reliability applications. We have operated within the space industry for the best part of 35 years, where we have built a strong and reputable portfolio of products that are used globally.
The components we design and build for space applications must operate in extreme environmental conditions. Our optocouplers have undergone radiation testing by NASA JPL, Fraunhofer Institute and others, and have been proven to be effective under the influence of radiation – up to 100, 150, 300 Krad(si), and in some instances up to 1 Mrad(si). Our optocouplers have performed best against devices from our competitors during comparison tests.
All our space grade products are screened in accordance with MIL-PRF-38534 Class K & MIL-PRF-19500 JANS specifications, and can be identified with the '/L2S' suffix (e.g. IS49/L2S).
Our optocouplers have been used in space for several years, and are featured in projects such as: International Space Station; Galileo; Glonass; Obzor-o; Luch-H; Pancam Exomars; E-Star; Space System Ionozond; EnMap, and many more.
Our MOSFETs and MOSFET Switches (SSRs) have been designed-in more recent space-grade and other high-reliability applications in recent years, with some of these projects destined for launch in the later part of 2018.
